Vivienne Westwood Shoes
Vivienne Westwood and her partner, Malcolm McLaren, opened the shop ‘Let It Rock’ at 430 Kings Road, Chelsea in London as a showcase for their ideas in the 70s. At a time when the hippy movement was in full swing and Rock 'n' Roll was not even played on the radio, they sold Fifties Rock 'n' Roll records and memorabilia as well as stock of Fifties inspired designs. Young people came to the shop from all over the country fuelling a revival of the period as Elvis Presley was making a comeback.
Vivienne Westwood wanted to design youthful fashion that mirrored rebellion and mischief and project social movements throughout the years. Designing countless collections year in and year out, her most popular are the Pirate, Anglomania and Harris Tweed collections not to mention the Red Label and Gold Label. With the brand forever-expanding, there is a wide selection of clothing, footwear, jewellery and accessories to choose from. The world famous designer obtains a world renowned trademark of an orb which varies in size and is usually made from metal; the orb signature is a prominent feature among her jewellery and accessories.
Vivienne Westwood Footwear continued to flourish and now their following has increased and the company continues to be one of the most sought after brands around the world.
