As most of you will know (unless you’ve been hiding under a rock and avoiding social media completely), yesterday our friends across the pond celebrated the 49th anniversary of the Super Bowl. The New England Patriots smashed the Seattle Seahawks shot at victory with the final score coming in at 28 – 24, Katy Perry performed during the 12 minute half time and we’re almost certain every celebrity with Instagram held their own Super Bowl after party. We’re lusting over living in the U S of A now more than ever.
As much as we love jumping on a treadmill after work to run off our daily stress, we’re not the biggest of sports fans here at Daniel Footwear head office. So, instead of debating who should have really won the Super Bowl, shall we just take a moment to talk about Katy Perry’s 4 outfit changes instead?
The cartoon look-a-like took her role very seriously, changing a staggering 4 times through her 12 minute performance and that’s not even the main talk of the town, she did so without ever leaving the stage… Magic at its best! The Fireworks singer employed Moschinos creative director, Jeremy Scott to design all four outfits for the biggest gig of her career and we all know that subtle is neither Katy’s or Jeremy’s forte, so we weren’t surprised in the least to see the final designs. We have to say, although we wouldn’t wear them ourselves, we LOVED all four finished outfits.
Katy wore a flame dress to open the show, followed by a number 49 football jersey, a beach ball inspired two piece and a star embellished Moschino gown to finish. She also welcomes Rapper Missy Elliott and American Rock singer, Lenny Kravitz to her performance and finished the evening by having XLIX tattooed onto her finger, there’s no way she’ll be forgetting this night in a hurry.
What was your favourite outfit from the night?
As you can imagine, the users of social media couldn’t wait to jump on the Katy Perry meme hype. Our favourites of the night are;
