The Daniel brand has long been a pioneer of ‘Slow Fashion’ and has been championing European based, family run, factories for decades- long before it was trendy to do so. The decision to use these factories was the focus on quality, unique design, and the support of luxury tradesman-ship in Europe. We pride ourselves on our strong and enduring partnerships with some of the best factories in Italy and Spain to create the Daniel label to this day. As we look to the future, we want to ensure that these factories are becoming more ecological as we all become more focused on sustainable production.
What is Slow Fashion?
In simple terms, Slow Fashion is the opposite of Fast Fashion. We’ve taken the time to design timeless styles with trend longevity crafted from highest quality material that will stand the test of time, meaning then can we worn time after time and season after season. This not only makes the Daniel brand desirable, but lowers our CO2 emission, making a smaller impact on the environment.
Over the last 5 years with increasing sales online we have made a conscious effort to make the e-commerce experience more sustainable. All of web order packaging is now fully recyclable and made from recycled materials. We have partnered with DPD, not only for a premium delivery service but also because of their green initiative, using a fleet of all electric vehicles to deliver parcels across the UK.
Online and in-store at Daniel Footwear we have been championing environmentally responsible brands, the most prominent of which is VEJA, our best-selling brand of 2022 so far. The Veja brand is known for making trainers with raw material sourced from ecological agriculture, using organic material and manufactured in South America with workers rights been top of their agenda.
